Welcome Back!

Welcome back to school! There's already new things to share, even though it's only the first day. First, we have a new principal. Holy cow! Welcome to Enterprise Elementary, Mr. Rowley!

So say hello, shake his hand, or give him a high five. It's his first day of school at Enterprise Elementary, too, and I bet he's a little bit nervous, just like you are!

One of the things Mr.Rowley is working on for our school is getting back on the Title One list, and we can help! It's super easy. Every family should fill out the form to apply for free or reduced lunch for their student(s). You may remember the packet you got in the mail, which explained that by doing this, and raising our percentage of students receiving free or reduced lunch, our school would be back on Title One, and receive $150,000 to $200,000 in funding. This is HUGE! So, even if you don't think you will qualify, please apply. We need to get these numbers up, and filling out the form only takes a couple of minutes. Families who receive cash or food stamp benefits need only list their case number and household members. If you have misplaced your form, you can apply online by clicking HERE, or visit the office to get a new paper form. If you have already applied for free or reduced meals online or with a form for your student(s) at the high school, there is no need to fill out another form for your student(s) at the elementary school. Letters are generally mailed 4-6 weeks after your application is received, to let you know if you qualify.

Next, we have a brand new blog, just for our school! This blog is for everyone at Enterprise Elementary, and it's one of Mr. Rowley's great ideas. So, if you had something awesome happen in your class, took pictures of a school field trip, guest, or program that you'd like to share, or just want to let us know about an upcoming event, or celebrate an accomplishment, please email us!  You'll find the email address for this blog to the right of the post. We'd love to help get the word out. And, if you ever want to comment about something you read here, please feel free! Just remember to keep your comments respectful, and keep it clean.

Looking forward to a great year at Enterprise Elementary!
